Matisse Silva comes from Salinas, California where she is one of 3 children. She began her journey into education by teaching swimming to very young children. Matisse completed a degree in elementary education but finds working with young children to be more satisfying. Matisse was educated in a Waldorf School and found her way back to Waldorf education in the early childhood program. She enjoys swimming and hiking, yoga, dancing and spending time with friends, family, and her dogs. Matisse appreciates the healthy and genuine caring that she finds for both children and teachers at Sophia’s Hearth.
