Teacher Certificate Programs

When you choose to become a Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher you make a commitment to developing yourself as a whole human being that is worthy of imitation. Making this commitment is a decision that is not taken lightly. The faculty at Sophia’s Hearth will nurture your learning throughout your time in the program.

Sophia’s Hearth is a full member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN) and is recognized by the International Association for Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood Education (IASWECE)

What You Can Expect

Your learning at Sophia’s Hearth will be a collegial one that seeks to build connections between students. The faculty offers mentoring and observation designed to help you become a more skilled professional.

New sessions begin each summer. Your residential weeks will be led by gifted and devoted faculty who bring experiential activity, artistic development, practical classroom experience, reflective discussion, and enlivening and stimulating presentations of information.

You will be guided throughout your time in the program by an experienced mentor.
